Australian Bush Flower Essences
I have been learning about the Australian Bush Flower essences for at least 18 years, since my son entered the "terrible twos" stage at about eighteen months. Throwing tantrums in the middle of shopping centres, in front of strangers, wherever he felt the need to let people know he was not happy.

A naturopath introduced me to the Emergency Essence which is a combination of different Essences which helps calm people, children and animals. My toddler after taking only 7 drops would calm down wherever he was and whatever he was doing. He would immediately become more co-operative and go about his day with a smile on his face. I have been grateful to that naturopath ever since.

Consultations I find is the best way to ascertain the best particular bush flower essences needed for you or your child at a
particular time.

A consultation with a child involves checking with them with regard to how they are going at school, whether they like school or not, what they eat during the day at school and home. I ask the children also to choose some flowers from my flower insight cards. These are flowers that may "jump out at them" or flowers that just appeal to them. It may be the colour of the flower that the children like or the different shapes and leaves. Every time they choose a flower or flowers, mum or/and child can say "Yes" that is what we need help with. I find only using three or five flowers for a child to be more effective in achieving what the child and parent is wanting.

I have prescribed different Essences for ailments which animals are experiencing such as cysts and behaviour a bit sluggish. A client let me know after less than a week a cyst on her cat had reduced to half it’s size and the cat was a lot happier.

There are also a number of different creams, mists, combinations of essences which can help give you that emotional stability and well being that you may be looking for.
There is a travel mist that can be sprayed on to your pillow or around your room at night if you have trouble sleeping. Trouble sleeping can involve getting to sleep, staying a sleep and waking in the middle of the night. The travel mist is often used with people who work shift work for e.g. nurses, men who work at the mine or power station.
