Hello Everyone,
Welcome to February 2021!
Well January went fast for me. Not sure about how your January went. It was nice to welcome back clients after their Christmas/New Year Break and some clients I hadn’t caught up with for quite a while due to a number of different circumstances.
Clients enjoyed their Bowen Therapy treatments and was glad to resume their herbs and supplements after a long time of not taking them (for various reasons).
I talked to you about keeping your Solar Plexus balanced in January and so I would like to talk to you about your Heart Chakra today. It seems appropriate as we are approaching Valentine’s Day on the 14th February (for all you romantics out there!). I am going to give you some information on the Heart Chakra as well as go through the different therapies that I practice and how you can balance your Heart Chakra either by using one therapy at a time or a combination of the different therapies. The different therapies include Flower Essences, Bowen Therapy and Herbs.
The Heart Chakra is located between the breasts, in the centre of the breastbone. At the back its location is the first thoracic vertebra between and below the shoulder blades.
Some emotional imbalances of this chakra can be the Inability to accept/receive love, Inability to love and accept self, challenges with adjusting to changing life experiences/demands, the inability to forgive and chronic stress.
Some physical imbalances of this chakra can involve heart heart and lung related health conditions, a weak immune system, upper back pain, hand and arm related disorders (carpel tunnel, numbness, etc.).
Australian Bush Flower Essences can also help you balance your Heart Chakra. Some of the flower essences I recommend are Bluebell (to help open heart to love and improve health of your heart), Red Suva Frangipani (to help heal a broken heart) and Waratah (to give strength and courage). Before taking Waratah please check with your Doctor or Health Professional if you are currently taking heart medications.
The Bowen Therapy moves that can be helpful in balancing your Heart Chakra are elbow/wrist moves, respiratory moves and simply having a Bowen Therapy treatment which will help improve circulation and blood flow throughout the whole body including the heart.
Herbs that can help balance the Heart Chakra are Hawthorn (basic heart health and to improve circulation throughout the body), Astragalus (to help boost the immune system) and Elecampane (which can help improve respiratory health).
Some foods to help restore balance in the Heart Chakra include plums, cherries, strawberries, whole brown rice, couscous as well as soy and bean proteins.
I will talk to you again in March.
Kind regard,
Donna Seymour
